Both my husband and I felt that we were getting honest service.  Both the positive and negative aspects of our home were pointed out.   We were able to receive further assistance by telephone (following the inspection) and later a second visit to recheck work done by our builder.  Once checked, this work required us to speak to a city inspector, as per the advise from our Canspec inspector.  The city inspector confirmed what we had been told by our Canspec inspector, spoke to the builder, and the work was immediately done by the builder.   Thank you so very much.  People might think that because it's a new home, it doesn't need an inspection, but as it was in our case, this was not so.  Canspec was able to show us what still needed to be done, and these were things that we had not noticed before. Thank you so much for your super speed help on Rockwood. As usual Dave did an exceptional job and the client was pleased. Because it was a new home we had no idea that there was a significant problem that we had to address, and during the inspection we had to call the builder to the site. Work has to be done and Dave has offered to return, to assure the client that it is being done properly, a service we thank you for.
 
During Dave's inspections on my clients' behalf, he has always gone that extra mile. On a recent inspection he sat not only with the Buyer (Matthew Fallah), but also with the Sellers (at the buyer's request), around a large table, to explain the problems he saw -- taking far more time than usual.  As a result of the Sellers understanding the problems, we were able to come to a mutual agreement to repair the problems, and keep both the Buyer and Seller happy.
 
In fact, the Seller's, not my clients, were so pleased that they used Dave on their subsequent purchase. Even the Buyer (Matthew Fallah) knew what to expect when he sold his home. And although he could not presume to convince those Buyers to use your company, he was so well educated that he knew how to keep them happy and keep his sale together.
 
It is wonderful to deal with such professionals. As you know I have used Tim for years because of his exceptional service, and was reticent to start with Dave  when he first joined you because I didn't want to spoil a good thing. I should have known that you would only associate with someone who would keep up to your stringent standards.
 
This most current  inspection also reminded me of the value of your manual. Not only do you explain the terms, but you also give us a detailed picture of  the systems, and a cost to repair or replace them. My client is not handy, but now he can not only see what improvements he can do to his property (i.e. finish the basement, install air conditioning) but also has an approximate cost of these improvements.
 
We don't, often enough, say thank you. You provide a service and we use it. ....But you provide an exceptional service, going far beyond the norm, because you can, and  because you believe you should. We tend to get used to expecting the best, forgetting that if you were not there we would be back to mediocre.

Hi Canspec, just wanted to let you know about yet another satisfied client of mine.  Dave did the inspection yesterday in Keswick and as always was thorough and helpful.  Every aspect of the home maintenance was covered and the client was grateful to me that I had recommended Canspec.

On another note, I was called to a prospective sellers home recently and they told me they were thinking of moving.  However, it transpired that the home had several major problems.  The homeowner had not had a home inspection prior to purchasing as they thought the would "save money".  They are now in a dreadful position, have a home that is not worth what they paid for it two years ago and have severe financial difficulties.  For the price of a home inspection they would certainly have been advised to walk away from this home or at least been given a realistic idea of the problems they were facing.  I have always advised having a home inspection and stories like this one simply reinforce how vital it is to have a company like Canspec do a professional inspection prior to purchase.
